CENTRAL TEACHER ELIGIBILITY TEST (CTET) – Feb 2016

The Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi is conducting the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2016 examination for persons to be appointed as a teacher for classes I to VIII. Candidates can advised to apply only On-line for CTET-Feb 2016 examination. The CTET 2016 Exam Date has been fixed around 21st Feburary 2016 (Sunday) and online sumbission of applications can be done from 04th Dec-28th Dec 2015. ELIGIBILITY:
The candidates having the following minimum educational qualification are eligible for appearing in CTET.
Minimum Educational Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Stage):
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and
passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education or
Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) or
2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
OR
Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education

Minimum Educational Qualification for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage):
Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or
or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) or
appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) or
final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/B.Sc.Ed or
or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)

Pattern of CTET 2016 Examination:
The CTET 2016 examination consists of 2 Papers of objective type Multiple Choice Question (MCQ’s).
(i) Paper I for those who wants to be a teacher for classes I to V.
(ii) Paper II for those who wants to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.
No negative marking is applicable. For those candidates who want to teach both levels shall have to appear in both the papers.

CTET-FEB 2016 Examination Fees:
For General/OBC Candidates, Rs.600 for either Paper 1 or Paper 2 and Rs.1000 for both papers
For SC/ST/Diff. Abled Candidates, Rs. 300 for either Paper 1 or Paper 2 and Rs.500 for both papers
